Draw and Release of Specimens

The laboratory will handle a request to collect a blood specimen and release it to the patient or to another person on behalf of an agency in the absence of testing by any of the Wellspan Hospital Laboratory Services.  Insurance will be billed for the specimen collection fee. 

This service is available on weekdays at the WellSpan Lab Services locations in York and Lebanon County, at the Outpatient Lab at Gettysburg Hospital, and Ephrata Community Hospital.

Patients accompanied by a police officer may be drawn at the York Hospital Outpatient Laboratory weekdays between 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
