24 Hour Urine Collection Containers

The container may or may not contain a preservative. The testing procedure determines the collection requirement. Preservatives may be one of the following:
- 6N Hydrochloric acid
- 50% Acetic acid
- Boric acid
- Sodium carbonate
- 5% Sodium Hydroxide
For a 24 hour collection that may require two different types of preservatives, a P-Splitter is available to allow an accurate one time collection. This container allows the urine to be divided equally between the two containers. See the following chart for appropriate selection of container(s).
